The Hungarian Parliament building, the “House of the Country”, located on the banks of the  Danube, is an iconic building of Budapest World Heritage and home to the legislature and  guardian of the Hungarian Holy Crown. It is richly decorated inside and out; inspired by the  London Parliament, the neo-Gothic style dominates, but also has Renaissance and Baroque elements .

Constructed in the 18th century in the Neo-Renaissance style, St. Stephen’s Basilica stands as the third highest structure in the capital. Dohány street Synagogue

The Dohány Street synagogue

The Dohány Street synagogue is one of Budapest’s touristic highlights as it is the largest synagogue in Europe and the second largest in the world. The synagogue was built in 1859 in neo Moorish style. The Synagogue is the temple of the Neolog Jewry. It was built in Budapest’s former Jewish quarter where many people of the Jewish faith still reside today.
During World War II, Dohany Street was a border of the Jewish ghetto, so the memory of the Holocaust is associated with the area.
